Youth employability
Young people all over the world are facing challenges when trying to find work and transition to independence: lack of prospects or training, scarcity of jobs, inequalities between girls and boys, the digital divide… the challenges are enormous.
The precariousness of young people’s lives is even more palpable in vulnerable countries, where the lack of activities can have devastating consequences, exposing young people to poverty, social exclusion and exploitation, particularly those who have lost or are at risk of losing parental care. More than 280 million young people worldwide are neither in employment, training or education.
Through its programmes, SOS Children’s Villages accompanies 15-24 year-olds towards employment and autonomy, helping them to prepare for the job market and improve their future prospects.
