€7,765 raised for SOS projects in Guinea
A long-standing partner of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, Casino 2000 hosted a Musical Charity Gala on 9 November in support of the association. Guests in Mondorf-les-Bains were treated to a vibrant and emotional show. In true musical theatre tradition, the performance brought together numerous artists, the Grand Chamber Orchestra of Münster, soloists Heike Müller-Ring and Csaba Fazekas, 12 dancers and 20 choristers, all delighting the audience with excerpts from famous works such as Dracula, Rebecca and The Phantom of the Opera.
Beyond this dazzling performance, the evening was dedicated to a worthy cause. It raised significant funds for children supported by SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde and its local partners in Guinea. Following the event, the management and team at Casino 2000, including Lydia Biringer-Schmitt, Director of Finance and Human Resources, Joffrey Martin, Marketing Director, and Marine Weber, Marketing Assistant, invited Sophie Glesener, Executive Director of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, and Anne Schweizer, Head of Partnerships, to present them with a cheque during the traditional New Year greetings. They warmly thanked Casino 2000 for its loyal and invaluable commitment, its ever-renewed generosity, and the strong partnership around the cause of children, which has continued to grow and diversify for over fifteen years.

The funds raised during the evening will go towards projects managed in Guinea by the local SOS association, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year. They will specifically support four development programmes focused on children’s and young people’s rights and employability, implemented across 53 neighbourhoods and villages in nine municipalities of Conakry, Kankan, Labé and N’Zérékoré. These programmes directly benefit 835 families, 3,500 children, 250 young people on their path to employment, as well as numerous community structures involved in child protection.
