One of a kind

We acquired this beautiful handwoven fabric from Urmila Caudhary. We welcomed her to Luxembourg to talk about the fate of the kalamari, children who were reduced to servitude in Nepal. Urmila, herself a former kalamari, has become a committed young woman who is actively fighting against this system of exploitation.
The young girls she takes in and reintegrates into working life are taught to weave.
This beautiful fabric is the result of their work.
