  • Daily distribution of balanced meals and awareness-raising on health, hygiene, and nutrition.
  • Academic support and educational activities to reinforce learning.
  • Music, dance, and arts and crafts workshops, as well as sports and recreational activities.
  • Psychosocial support and monitoring of children’s well-being.
  • Awareness-raising on children’s rights and the development of life skills.
  • Involvement of families and the community in the protection and education of children.

Expected results

  • 50 children and adolescents receive daily support.
  • An average attendance rate of 90% for activities.
  • Improved academic performance for 80% of participants.
  • Reduced exposure to social risks for 90% of the children and youth involved.
  • At least 70% of households participate in project activities.

END OF 2026 to 2028

The project directly serves 50 school-age children and adolescents, primarily from the Iraque neighborhood and neighboring communities in Mindelo, notably Chã de Marinha and Passarão.

Special attention is given to children facing economic hardship, social exclusion, educational challenges, and health risks. Their families are also involved in the project, bringing the total number of direct beneficiaries to an estimated 150, with positive impacts on the broader community.
