The 17th Sudstroum escher kulturlaf takes place on 2 September 2023. For the second year in a row, SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde is humanitarian partner of the event.
At 6 p.m. on September 2, runners of the Sudstroum escher kulturlaf will cross the starting line. They will be off for a 10km, 10-mile or 21km route through the town of Esch-sur-Alzette and the Belval campus. All along the way, musicians and bands will be cheering on the runners and entertaining the spectators, giving this sporting and cultural event its unique character.
For every participant in the race, €1 will be donated to our emergency reponse programme to help children and families affected by the war in Ukraine.
Don’t hesitate, register now!
To support Ukrainian children and families, there are several options
All runners can support them by making an additional donation when they register. Every euro counts!
Runners can also create their own fundraising page and ask their friends and family to support the children of Ukraine with a donation of €5!
Together, let’s do more for the children of Ukraine!

A renewed trust in our association
We would like to highlight the strong commitment of the organisers of the Escher Kulturlaf, which has led to a valuable collaboration for vulnerable children in Ukraine.

Last year, public support enabled us to raise €2,000 for the children and families cared for by SOS Villages d’Enfant in Ukraine and in countries hosting refugees.
While the fighting continues, the needs of the population are still considerable. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the organisers of the event, who have once again shown their trust and commitment to us this year.
