An earthquake hit Morocco hard on the night of 8 to 9 September. For the time being, no child cared for by SOS Children’s Villages in Morocco, no family and no SOS employee has been injured or killed.
SOS has been present in Morocco for 40 years and will respond to the urgency of this situation, which requires our full attention and mobilisation. An assessment of the immediate needs of the affected children and families is underway in order to put in place a comprehensive emergency response, including long-term follow-up if necessary.
