Supporting children’s development
and well-being through play and sports
SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES | MOROCCO
Our work
In Agadir, where 116 children are supported by the SOS Children’s Villages, the project aims to improve facilities dedicated to play and sports activities.
It includes the creation of a new playground and the renovation of the existing multisports court within the SOS Children’s Villages. These facilities will provide children with safe spaces to play, be active and develop their social skills.
Beyond the improvement of the facilities, the project aims to support children’s physical, social and emotional development. Sports and play activities help develop strength and coordination, while also strengthening skills and values such as respect, teamwork, perseverance and the ability to manage emotions.

Planned activities
- Preparation of the site
- Purchase of equipment
- Installation of the new playground
- Renovation of the existing multisports court
Expected results
Children will have access to safe and suitable spaces where they can play, take part in sports activities and be physically active. The new facilities will contribute to their physical, social and emotional development, as well as their overall well-being.
The facilities created will form part of a long-term approach and will be maintained by the local teams.
