To give a solidarity dimension to its employees’ participation in the 17th ING Night Marathon Luxembourg, the company made a generous gift of \u20ac5,000 to our association for the people of southern Ethiopia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 11 May, fourteen Forvis Mazars employees took up the challenge of the 17th ING Night Marathon Luxembourg<\/strong> and proudly crossed the finish line. Following an initiative initiated for the 2023 edition of the marathon, the management and employees of Forvis Mazars wanted to add a solidarity dimension to their race by partnering with SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde<\/strong>, humanitarian partner of the event for the third consecutive year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This partnership turned into a generous donation of \u20ac 5,000<\/strong> to the Luxembourg association to support an emergency response project to support children and families facing drought in southern Ethiopia<\/strong>. Last year, the donation of the audit and consulting firm helped support people on the verge of famine in the Far South of Madagascar.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mark the runners’ accomplishments, the ShadowBoard of Forvis Mazars<\/strong>, a group of eight young employees involved in the company’s strategy, has met with two SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde staff members at its Luxembourg headquarters to present them with a symbolic \u20ac5,000 check. In a friendly atmosphere, Anne Schweizer, Head of Partnerships, and Lisa Forrler, Communications and Fundraising Officer, had the opportunity to present the beneficiary project.<\/strong> They warmly thanked the Shadow Board and congratulated the cabinet members involved in the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u20ac5,000 will be allocated to a project that is currently ongoing in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. Set up by the local SOS association, this project has been meeting the health and nutritional needs of populations affected by a recurring drought since 2023, especially young children, pregnant or breastfeeding women and the elderl<\/strong>y. It strengthens the capacity of health services in the region<\/strong>, in particular the Yabello hospital, offers a mobile service in rural areas and in a second phase will support household livelihoods<\/strong> through an innovative agricultural approaches to provide better food<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
