SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde places a strong emphasis on advocacy as a key resource for empowering civil society and engaging the wider community in upholding and protecting children’s rights.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2015, the United Nations signed the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the most ambitious sustainable development agenda to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The implementation of children’s rights is highly dependent on the achievement of the SDGs. That is why, since 2015, the 2030 Agenda has been guiding us in our advocacy work.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raising children’s awareness<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde has made education and awareness-raising work in the family environment one of its main pillars. Within the framework of the PACOPE (Programmes d’Accompagnement des Communaut\u00e9s pour la Protection de l’Enfant) in Benin, Guinea, Niger and Senegal, the aim is to prevent separations and the loss of family care through education in good parenting practices. Through basic and targeted training, we raise awareness in communities on key themes such as birth registration and education, good hygiene and food practices, and non-violence and peaceful conflict resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our activities in Luxemburg<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde offers talks to schoolchildren in Luxembourg to present its activities, raise awareness of children’s rights throughout the world and propose volunteer activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
